Essential Criteria
• Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, for membership with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the field of Paediatric Occupational Therapy
• High level of clinical skills in occupational therapy, including the ability to manage a complex paediatric caseload
• Ability to work unsupervised, manage and prioritise work and respond to complex situations in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience in working with Aboriginal families and understanding of the issues that impact on Aboriginal people and Aboriginal communities
• Demonstrated experience in electronic data recording
• Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, and current issues affecting lives of Aboriginal people
• Working with Children and Criminal Record check clearances and a current NSW Drivers Licence
Desirable Criteria
• Understanding of childhood trauma and its impact on development
• Experience in community participation and networks
• Demonstrated experience in conducting quality activities
To provide Occupational Therapy services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children under 5 years referred to the New Directions: Mothers and Babies Service Program in Wellington.
