• Knowledge and understanding of the impact of drug and alcohol use/misuse in Aboriginal communities
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently/unsupervised and as part of a team
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
• Demonstrated experience in the utilisation of client software packages and Microsoft Office programs
• Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, and current issues affecting lives of Aboriginal people
• Working with Children and Criminal Record check clearances and a current NSW Drivers License
Demonstrated previous work experience in a health, welfare or drug and alcohol related employment field
• Provide case management to clients of the Aftercare Program in accordance with the MARRS Case Management Policy, including the 7 stages of Engagement, Assessment, Treatment Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, Review and Closure
• Provide ad hoc support to clients of the MARRS services including transport, ad hoc psycho social support, conflict resolution or any other support required to assist the client or the therapeutic milieu of the treatment centre
• Facilitate groups within the MARRS group program schedule
• Conduct all client interactions in accordance with the Client-centred Service Delivery Model
• Engage in case review processes with team and individually with identified supervisor
